Where to Vote

The National Labor Relations Board has scheduled a union election on the Columbia campuses to take place Wednesday, Dec. 7 and Thursday, Dec. 8. The majority of those voting will decide whether student research and teaching assistants will henceforth be represented by Local 2110 of the United Auto Workers.

The National Labor Relations Board regional director's Order Approving Modification of Supplemental Decision and Direction of Election provides details about the locations of the polling places on campus.

Unfortunately there is no absentee ballot mechanism provided for in the NLRB's Order.

Students are expected to vote at the polling place on the campus where they are appointed or have been appointed in the past.
