On April 29, 2020, representatives of the University attended the thirty-third bargaining session with the union committee representing graduate student assistants. The bargaining session was held via video conference.
The University and the Union discussed the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. David Austell, Associate Provost and Director of the International Students and Scholars Office answered questions related to the particular impact of COVID-19 on international student issues.
The University and the Union each presented revised proposals on Vacation, Workweek, and Leaves. The University also presented a revised proposal on Discipline and Discharge. The parties discussed the revisions.
The parties reached a tentative agreement on Health and Safety.
The parties agreed to set additional bargaining dates.
