On August 17, 2020, representatives of the University attended the forty-second bargaining session with the union committee representing graduate student assistants. The bargaining session was held via video conference.
The Union raised concerns related to COVID-19, international student employees, and the University’s Title IX Policy. The parties discussed the concerns raised.
The University presented revised proposals on Union Dues, International Student Employees, and No Strike/No Lockout. The University also marked its proposals on International Student Employees and Discipline and Discharge final. The Union presented revised proposals onGrievance andArbitration and Union Security.The parties discussed the revised proposals.
The Union rejected the additional bargaining dates offered by the University in August but agreed to look for possible dates in September and provide them as soon as possible.
