On May 13, 2020, representatives of the University attended the thirty-fourth bargaining session with the union committee representing graduate student assistants. The bargaining session was held via video conference.
The Union raised concerns related to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the University’s process for re-opening. The Union also raised concerns regarding recently issued Title IX regulations.
The University provided the Union with an updated complete set of proposals constituting its comprehensive offer of settlement. The Union presented revised proposals on Job Posting and Discipline and Discharge. The parties discussed the revised proposals. The parties also discussed the differences between their proposals on International Student Employees and International Student Worker Rights, Workload and Workweek, and Leaves.
The next bargaining session is scheduled for May 29, 2020.
