On November 19, 2020, representatives of the University attended the forty-eighth bargaining session with the union committee representing graduate student assistants. The bargaining session was held via video conference.
The Union raised concerns related to COVID-19, and the parties discussed the concerns raised.
The University presented revised proposals on Management and Academic Rights, Benefits, Discipline and Discharge, and Tax Assistance.
The Union presented revised proposals on Leaves, International Student Worker Rights and Work Authorization, and Professional Development.
The parties discussed the revised proposals as well as the proposals previously presented on Family Friendly Benefits.
The next bargaining session is scheduled for December 2, 2020. An additional session to discuss student health insurance and campus health services with members of Columbia Health is scheduled for November 20, 2020.
